About Us

Aline Robert is a french journalist working on EU affairs and environment
related issues. She is currently editor in chief of Euractiv.fr after 12 years
working for the daily La Tribune. With some other EU journalists she
uncovered a massive fraud on carbon market and wrote the first book on the
issue, Carbone connexion, in 2012. She likes working as a team
on complicated issues.

Georgi Gotev is a Bulgaria-born journalist based in Brussels, covering EU
affairs since 1998, and contributing to EURACTIV.com as Senior Editor since
2008. He works in tandem with journalist Krassen Nikolov in Sofia, who
contributes to the website Mediapool since 2005. Both were
the frontmen of the journalistic project BulgarianPresidency.eu monitoring t
he Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU (first half of 2018).

Dan Alexe is a Belgian-Romanian journalist, writer, filmmaker and linguist. A
lifetime collaborator with the US-funded Radio Free Europe, he has published
several novels in Romanian and made documentary films in Afghanistan, the
Caucasus and the Balkans. About his film Cabal in Kabul, (France, 2007) on
the rivalry between the last two Jews of Afghanistan, the French weekly
Charlie Hebdo, where he publishes occasionally, wrote: — “Finally a
film where the Afghans make us laugh.”
Cabal in Kabul won the Jean Rouch Grand Prize at
the Musée de l’Homme Documentary Film Festival in Paris.

Piotr M. Kaczynski is a Warsaw-based blogger on EU affairs; previously based
in Brussels and Maastricht. An expert on EU affairs he has worked as a
researcher at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS, 2007-12) and as a
trainer/lecturer at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA,
2014-). Former political advisor at the European Parliament (2012-14).Public
speaker on EU affairs in Poland as a member of Team Europe-Warsaw.

Emanuele Bonini is Italian-European journalist typing about the EU affairs
between Brussels, Rome, Strasbourg, Luxembourg and wherever needed. Born
newswire reporter, after some years spent in his native country he started his
full-time European career  in 2011, year of his first landing in Brussels. Two
years as ASCA correspondent, then a freelance activity for several Italian
media. Currently contributing for Eunews, LaStampa, and for EuropaToday’s
TV news.
